The school has adopted the Dimensions curriculum planning model and resources as a starting point. This is a 2 year rolling programme to support our class structure of mixed aged classes in the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Lower/Upper Key Stage 2. It also allows the school to continue with whole school foci and ‘Big Bangs’ that enrich our creative and cross curricular approach to learning.
Our curriculum planning is based on our knowledge of children’s level of attainment and we have high expectations of all children. This is based on the Age Related Expectations defined in the National Curriculum. We take into account ability, prior attainment, progress and any additional educational needs.
